40     <p>Apache uses the <code>sendfile</code> syscall on platforms
41     where it is available in order to speed sending of responses.
42     Unfortunately, on some systems, Apache will detect the presence of
43     <code>sendfile</code> at compile-time, even when it does not work
44     properly.  This happens most frequently when using network or
45     other non-standard file-system.</p>

47     <p>Symptoms of this problem include the above message in the error
48     log and zero-length responses to non-zero-sized files.  The
49     problem generally occurs only for static files, since dynamic
50     content usually does not make use of <code>sendfile</code>.</p>

52     <p>To fix this problem, simply use the <code class="directive"><a href="../mod/core.html#enablesendfile">EnableSendfile</a></code> directive to disable
53     <code>sendfile</code> for all or part of your server.  Also see
